What GuestCam is
GuestCam (guestcam.co) is a Colorado Springs company, running since 2024, that collects guest photos, videos, and voicemails through the browser — no app, no guest account. Every plan includes unlimited uploads, a live slideshow, and an audio guestbook, with a MagicFind selfie search available as an add-on, and support runs on live chat, phone, and email seven days a week.
Like most upload galleries, though, the camera part is your guests' problem: there's no capture interface, no film look, no shot roll, and no reveal — media appears as it's uploaded. There's also no free tier (a demo, but every real event starts at $49), and albums run on a 12–14 month clock before a paid storage extension kicks in.
PartyCam approaches the same QR moment from the camera side: scanning opens a disposable film camera in the browser, the host sets the roll and the reveal, and the album has no expiry — starting free, with paid events from $14.99.

Where PartyCam wins
Free to try with real guests
GuestCam has no free tier — the first price is $49. PartyCam's free tier is a full event for up to 10 guests, so you can watch the camera-to-album flow work before spending anything.
A camera, not a file picker
GuestCam guests upload whatever they happened to shoot. PartyCam guests scan and land in a film camera — the party gets captured while it's happening, in one consistent look.
The roll and the reveal
A host-set number of shots makes people choose their moments, and the album can stay hidden until you reveal it. GuestCam's stream-everything-live model has neither.
No album countdown
GuestCam storage lasts 12–14 months, then continuing costs another fee. PartyCam albums have no timer — download whenever, keep it up forever.
$14.99 where they charge $49
A 50-guest PartyCam event costs less than a third of GuestCam's entry tier — with the camera, film look, video clips, and 24/7 support all included.
Where GuestCam makes sense
No tool wins every event. Pick GuestCam over PartyCam if these matter more to you:
- You want zero capacity math — unlimited guests and unlimited uploads on every plan, with a fair-use review only at 25,000 files.
- You expect huge video files: uploads accept clips up to 9.8 GB, where PartyCam records 1-minute moments instead.
- The audio guestbook matters — web recording on every plan, plus an optional dial-in phone number (US/Canada).
- You'd use MagicFind, their $45 AI selfie search that finds every photo a guest appears in.
- You want to talk to support by phone or live chat, seven days a week, from a US team.
What their users report
Recurring themes from public GuestCam reviews, paraphrased and attributed — read the originals before you decide.
Thin independent record
GuestCam's Trustpilot profile has zero reviews, and G2/SourceForge listings are empty too — the advertised 4.9 rating lives on their own site. A young company (founded 2024) can be great; there's just little third-party history to check.

Mind which GuestCam you're reading about
An unrelated iPhone app also called “GuestCam” exists on the App Store from a different developer. Reviews and features of that app get mixed into forum threads about guestcam.co — verify which product a complaint or a feature claim describes.

Refunds are all-or-nothing
Their policy refunds an event only if it received zero uploads — uploading files and deleting them counts as usage. Fair to know before you buy a $97 tier for a maybe-event.

What each costs
GuestCam sells two one-time packages: Standard at $49 (unlimited uploads, 6-month upload window, 12-month storage) and Premium at $97 (12-month uploads, 14-month storage, six galleries, themes). MagicFind selfie search adds $45, a dedicated audio-guestbook phone number adds $30, and keeping the album past the storage window is a further fee.
PartyCam is free up to 10 guests, then one-time $14.99 (50) to $149.99 (500) by guest count. There are no add-ons: the film camera, video clips via the free app, moderation, originals, and 24/7 support are in every tier, and the album never expires.
The models differ honestly: GuestCam charges more up front for unlimited volume; PartyCam charges by guest count for a curated roll. For most weddings and parties, $34.99 of PartyCam covers 100 guests — and there's nothing to renew later.
PartyCam prices are one-time, in USD. Sales tax is calculated at checkout where applicable. GuestCam prices per their public pricing page, August 27, 2026.
The bottom line
GuestCam is a capable upload gallery with genuinely nice extras — audio guestbook, selfie search, human support seven days a week. But it starts at $49, keeps your album on a 12–14 month meter, and never hands your guests a camera. If the point of the QR code on your tables is photos that feel like the party — shot in the moment, in a film look, revealed when you choose — PartyCam does that, from free.
